The property’s backyard had a significant slope, which posed several challenges. Our installation partner needed a solution that would not only create a more usable space but also to:
- Retain the soil: The slope was prone to erosion, and a stable retaining structure was needed to prevent soil from washing away during heavy rains.
- Level out specific areas: The client desired a flat patio area and leveled sections for planting beds on different tiers.
Our installation knew that concrete sleepers, with their exceptional durability, strength, and ability to be tiered, would be the perfect solution to address the challenges of the sloping backyard.
They used our Fraser (sealed) sleepers to create a multi-tiered retaining wall system. This system effectively held back the soil and leveled different areas.
